Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how Ronething handles information related to your use of CardManager.

Product overview

CardManager is an iPhone app for managing cards and documents, saving card photos, scheduling due-date reminders, and protecting sensitive information with app lock.

What we may handle

In the current version, CardManager does not require a user account or an in-app sign-up flow.

We may handle the following categories of information:

  • card or document information that you enter, such as title, type, expiry date, notes, and owner;
  • card or document photos that you choose to import;
  • app preferences stored on your device, such as the app-lock setting;
  • local notification permission status and reminder schedules you choose to enable;
  • support information that you choose to send to us by email.

What we do not do by default

Unless a future feature clearly says otherwise:

  • we do not require you to create an online account;
  • we do not automatically upload card records or photos to our servers;
  • we do not run advertising or cross-app tracking;
  • we do not sell your personal information;
  • we do not depend on third-party analytics or crash reporting SDKs in the current version.

How data is handled

The current version favors an on-device, local-first workflow.

This includes:

  • card records stored locally on your device;
  • imported photos saved in the app’s local archive directory;
  • OCR processing performed on-device to help fill titles and expiry dates;
  • due-date reminders delivered through local system notifications;
  • Face ID / Touch ID handled through Apple’s authentication frameworks, without direct access to raw biometric data.

How we use information

We use relevant information only as needed to:

  • create and manage card and document records;
  • save and display imported card photos;
  • assist with OCR-based recognition;
  • schedule local due-date reminders;
  • protect sensitive information inside the app;
  • troubleshoot technical issues and improve the core experience.

Third-party services

The current version does not rely on third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or cloud sync services.

If a future version introduces new third-party services, we will update this policy before or when that change becomes available.

Data retention

Local data generally remains on your device until you remove the relevant records or uninstall the app.
If you send support emails, screenshots, or attachments to us, we may retain them for a reasonable period as needed to provide support and investigate issues.

Children’s privacy

CardManager is not specifically designed for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Policy updates

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date.
